Odds Compared to Last Update

When OLBG last covered this market in at the start of September (full article here), the picture looked very different:

Bayer Leverkusen were originally favourites in the market with rumours suggesting Mourinho could replace Erik ten Hag in the role.

They have since appointed Kasper Hjulmand which rules Mourinho out and West Ham have shortened from 6/1 into 15/8.

Leading Contenders

West Ham (15/8): Strong speculation Potter may leave soon. Mourinho would bring stability and experience for a squad with European ambitions.

Rangers (7/2): Pressure is mounting on Russell Martin and the new Ibrox board could make a bold statement appointment.

Wolves (7/1): Long-term links with Portuguese managers make this possible, but finances could prove a stumbling block.

Saudi Pro League (7/1): The money remains on the table though Mourinho has spoken of preferring elite European football.

Manchester United (14/1): A second spell would be sensational, but remains highly unlikely at present.

What the expert says...
West Ham’s odds crash from 6/1 to 15/8 shows how fast this market can move. Rangers at 7/2 feels like the value and Mourinho to Ibrox would be a seismic story
