I break betting odds news as it happens, so you’re never left behind when the market moves or a top offer lands.

  • Oscar Piastri is 5/4 favourite to win the Canadian GP after his fifth win of 2025.
  • Max Verstappen (5/1) chases a fourth straight win at Montreal in a must-win weekend.
  • Norris, Leclerc, and Hamilton feature in the chasing pack, but McLaren look strong again.

McLaren Looking Unstoppable as Piastri Chases Sixth Win

The 2025 Formula 1 season continues in Montreal this weekend with McLaren riding high after a commanding one-two finish in Spain, their second of the campaign.

Oscar Piastri notched his fifth win of the season to pull 10 points clear of teammate Lando Norris in the Drivers’ Championship.

Piastri is now 5/4 favourite with UK Betting Sites to take victory in Canada as he aims to extend his lead at the top of the standings.

With McLaren’s current pace advantage and clean execution, few would bet against another dominant weekend.

William Hill's latest market is shown below, with Piastri given an implied probability of 44.4% that he wins the race.

What the expert says...
Piastri’s title charge is showing no signs of slowing, but this is Verstappen’s track. At 5/1, there could be a bounce-back drive from the Red Bull ace on a layout he loves.

Verstappen Targets Montreal Redemption

Max Verstappen, now a distant third in the championship, faces a critical weekend. The Dutchman is 49 points behind Piastri and desperately needs to regain momentum to stay in title contention.

The good news for Verstappen fans is his dominance at this circuit as he's won the last three editions of the Canadian Grand Prix and Montreal’s stop-start layout has historically suited Red Bull’s setup.

Despite recent struggles, the 5/1 price on a Verstappen win could appeal to punters banking on his Montreal mastery.

Leclerc is a 14/1 outsider, with Russell and Lewis Hamilton both priced at 20/1.

Unless weather plays a role or there's a shake-up in qualifying, it looks like another McLaren vs. Verstappen showdown on Sunday.
