The feature on day four of the Glorious Goodwood festival, the King George Stakes, has been a Group 2 race since being upgraded in 2010 and is open to runners aged three or older and is run over five furlongs.

It's a race where you cannot blink; otherwise, you will miss it. It's a fast-run race with all the last twenty renewals being run in under fifty-nine seconds! Battaash, the sprint king, won four consecutive renewals (2017-20) for Charles Hills and Jim Crowley and is the most successful runner in the race.
