Regional is still a very capable sprinter as an eight year old and better than Listed class but as he last won in 2023 when he won a handicap, a Listed race and finished by winning the Group1 Betfair Sprint Cup at Haydock he gets all the allowances here and gets weight from his main rivals He ran 4th in the Group 1 Prix Maurice De Gheest at this Meeting last year and this looks a far easier option for him.

Estepona brings dominant Listed-winning speed, perfect course-and-distance form, and a high draw tailor-made for Deauville's sprint lane. Soumillon times the burst and he proves simply too sharp for this field.

Shiri has a decent chance here. She has an excellent overall record: three wins from five starts, including a Class 1 over 6f at Chantilly. Her latest fourth in the Listed Prix Marchand was respectable, beaten only about two lengths, which shows that she can compete at this level. The 5f trip is suitable, and Henri Graffard is in outstanding recent form. Barzalona is a major positive here. She carries only 8-8, receiving weight from most of the older runners as well.

Usually seen to best effect late on. Will have a good, strong pace to aim at and should be a big threat here.

Consistent form with each run. This horse is very lightly raced so some further progress is likely. Does have good early speed so this drop in trip shouldn't be a problem.

Didn't appear suited by racing over a longer distance on his most recent run, may well do better now dropping back down in distance.
